Getting started

The Daily FM builds personal podcasts from almost any source: news sites, X accounts, Hacker News, state legislatures, and real-world podcasts. Every pod is a private radio show, narrated in a studio voice, delivered to any podcast app through a standard RSS feed.

There are three ways to use it:

  • Subscribe: follow ready-made pods from the Library.
  • Combine: merge several pods into one feed, so you have one subscribe point.
  • Customize: generate your own custom episodes from any sources. See Your first custom series.

1. Subscribe to a public pod

Browse the Library — pods are grouped by category, and every card lets you play the latest episode right there before you commit.

2. Create an account

If you want your own custom RSS feed, or want to create your own custom series, Sign up for an account.

3. Listen anywhere

Open any pod and pick your app under Subscribe to this podcast — one tap for Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, or YouTube Music, or Copy RSS for anything else that accepts a feed URL. New episodes then show up like any other show. Private pods use unguessable feed links, so your feed stays yours without a login.

You can always listen on the web too. Every episode plays right on the pod page, with a read-along transcript.

4. Combine pods into one feed

From My Pods you can add any pod, yours or a public one, into another pod's feed. A common setup is one "morning feed" pod that combines everything you follow, so your podcast app only needs a single subscription.
